(I have apple care +) I called Apple & they sent me boxes via fed ex after I paid the new screen fee. I sent mine back to Apple on Dec 13th with the over night fedex box Apple sent me. Apple sent me an email on Monday Dec 17th that my iPhone had been received. Repair status says my iPhone 7 broken cracked screen has been stuck on the technicians are diagnosing the problem bar since Monday the 17th and it’s now Friday 12/21. I sent in my iPad Pro as well for a new screen and it went through the bars to I will be notified once it ships back granted My iPad Pro is engraved so I expected a 2 week wait & Apple CS said engraved items take a week or 2 longer so I have no issue there. My iPhone just had a cracked screen.. My phone slipped out of my hand a few weeks ago while in its otter box and somehow must have hit on a corner and it cracked all the way up.. But my phone didn’t like the cracked screen at all and neither did I. I sent it off ASAP to get a new screen since I buy Apple care for a reason but have never used it with any of our many Apple items.. So this is a first for me. Apple said the biggest time is spent in shipping & the new screen replacement takes 2-3 days maximum so basically 7-9 days with shipping is the worst case..
I’m upset & worried cause I have No Phone or update. I followed all directions and re- set my phone so it’s wiped clean, I sent it off with a 100% battery.. My phone repair status says a tech is diagnosing the issue after 5 solid days, I would like to see the status bar move to diagnoses complete and on to the repair in process and repair finished and on to the shipping bar BUT it’s still Stuck On Recieved Dec 17 and with a technician for diagnoses.. No emails, No anything from Apple since the Dec 17th E-mail conformation they received my products. I check Apple repair status daily for updates and without a phone I can’t really call in.. So I have iMessage on our iPad and Mac.. But it would be nice for people to write about their personal experiences with sending in Apple products for repairs and how long did it actually take VS what apple says it will take.. I am also looking for answers on this question from people who have personally sent in a device for repair. What was the actual experience and ETA. I’m getting worried about why my iPhone doesn’t have a new screen yet.. The problem is listed broken screen with multiple cracks it doesn’t take a tech 5 days to see that.. The iPhone worked great except for the occasional loss of service and little glitches after every update all previous to the screen breaking. I sent it off sooner rather then later so moisture, dirt etc wouldn’t get into the screen cracks.. It’s the unlocked rose gold iPhone 7 that I ordered from Apple. I just need my iphone 😢 back.. So the ETA for my screen replacement is unknown at this time.. I sent mine off Dec 13 and as of Dec 21 it hasn’t made it past being diagnosed yet & into the repair status bar. .. It went to the Elk Grove California factory..
