Where has HDR gone????

When I switched from an iPhone 6s to an 8 not too long ago, I realised that the HDR toggle has disappeared from the stock photo app. I assume that this happened since a software update because the HDR toggle was there before and this happens on the iPhone XS Max. However, I know that the some pictures were taken with HDR because there was a yellow indicator so the feature has not disappeared completely, it’s just that I have no control over it.

Don’t get me wrong, HDR is great and I like that it switches it automatically on sometimes, but there are cases where HDR ruins photos, like when there is a lot of movement.

Please bring this feature back to the camera and stop removing useful features because this is not the first time that you removed stupidly useful features, for example you removed the “clear up next” button in the music app back in iOS 9 or 10.

This needs to stop! It forces me to stop using the stock apps and this is very inconvenient and wastes storage space on my phone.
