Safety of Face ID system for eyes? I'm still worry

I've just bought an iPhone XS, but I do not feel so well to utilize the Face ID for my eyes and in order to unlock the phone I've always typing every time the 4 digits that is not so fast and easy as you can imagine...

On the light of above, I would like a CLEAR statement from Apple that such system is not dangerous for human eyes with some declaration by third parties specialized company that confirm this: as far as I know their declaration for this issue are not so precise and clear and I'm worry.

Please help me... Otherwise I've to return to "classic iPhone".

Many thanks to all of you!

Hi ckimax,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see you have a question about Face ID.

I have a link published by Apple that should answer your question. It explains the safety elements of the TrueDepth camera that Face ID uses, found under the "Safety" section of this link: About Face ID advanced technology.

Hopefully this helps to answer your question.

Take care.

Thanks for the information, but reading that:

QUOTE

iPhone and iPad Pro and the TrueDepth camera system have been thoroughly tested and meet international safety standards. The TrueDepth camera system is safe to use under normal usage conditions. The system will not cause any harm to eyes or skin, due to its low output. It's important to know that the infrared emitters could be damaged during repair or disassembly, so your device should always be serviced by Apple or an authorized service provider. The TrueDepth camera system incorporates tamper-detection features. If tampering is detected, the system may be disabled for safety reasons.

When viewed through certain types of cameras, you may notice light output from the TrueDepth camera. This is expected as some cameras may detect infrared light. Some may also notice a faint light output from the TrueDepth camera when viewed in a very dark room. This is expected in extremely dark settings.

it means nothing for me: at the end of the day, this is a simple certification issued by Apple that is also the manufacturer...

I would like to read an official statement from at least a couple of third party companies specialized in the control of such new devices that declare that the Face ID produced by Apple is NOT dangerous for the human eyes.

Apple has invested millions of dollars for the environment, renewable activities, quality of work in the factories, RED promotion, etc: I cannot imagine that for such declaration for an issue so important for the health of the people is not ready to invest some pennies...!

I'm not a conspirator, but this lack of clear information do not help the consumers to find out the best choice for their health.
