FaceTime sign in is grayed out - can’t set up

I was setting up my iPad and I couldn’t get the FaceTime to work. My Apple ID was there, but the sign in was grayed out. I didn’t find the answer in the last post, and put wouldn’t let me comment on it, so I just wanted to post my answer.

I fiddled around with turning on the send and receive under iMessage in the settings, but ultimately I just had to click on my Apple ID and press “return” on the keyboard and then it let me put in my password. Hope this helps someone else!
