How to confirm iPhone switched off before posting

I'm returning a phone within warranty. I disconnected the phone from the cloud before completing the online procedure to have a box sent from apple that i can return the phone in. The final online task is to click 'Confirm Find My iPhone is Off' I keep getting 'Confirm Again' - 'Could not confirm. Please try again'. I'm guessing that's because it's disconnected from Cloud and the problem with the phone is that i can't power it on so I can't reconnect!

Anyone any ideas how to get past this stage?

I see that you weren't entirely successful removing the Find My iPhone Activation Lock. For the last step, you're asked to confirm, and you're met with a message to please try again. I'm happy to help.


Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock -- Follow the steps under "If the previous owner isn't with you", to make sure your that Find My iPhone is off.


Apple - Support - Product Selection --  If you're still unable to confirm Find My iPhone is off, please contact Apple Support. Apple Support will be able to troubleshoot this issue with you further.
