Does the First Generation Apple Pencil magnetically attach to either the smart case or the iPad itself?

We we are getting the 6th Gen iPad that came out in March 2018

NO.

And the 1st gen Apple Pencil is the ONLY Apple Pencil to work with the 6th gen, 2018, 9.7 inch screen iPad.

Attaching Apple Pencil in wrong place So basically I was trying to attach my 2nd gen apple pencil to its magnetic port but I ended up in creating such magnetic attraction with the upper left side of my Ipad Pro which is not the magnetic port that i’m looking for.
