Creating a calendar in Photos

I'm trying to create a calendar in Photos using the MPIX project extension. The calendar is already created in Photos. I just need to somehow export it to MPIX to order it so that it can be printed and shipped to me. I have created calendars for years using iPhoto and Photos, but this is the first year that a project extension has been needed. Help!

Are you are  able to create a PDF file of that book? If so there's a 3rd party book provider (which used to do much of the printing for Apple), Mimeo, that will take PDF files created by iPhoto and print and bind books and calendars. Use the Mimeo link above for direct access to the Apple Photo Project Ordering Service web page.

Or you can upload the PDF file to PrestoPhotos which can also print and bind books and calendars from iPhoto or Photos pdf files.

Create the pdf file according to this Apple document: Preview a print project in Photos or iPhoto to avoid issues - Apple Support.

Which version of Photos do you have installed? You need Photos 3.0 or 4.0 to be able to use project extensions.

Not all project extensions can convert existing Apple Photos Projects. The Mimeo extension seems to be currently the only one. You will the extensions, that can convert an existing project, when you open the project and click the "Convert" button in the upper right corner of the toolbar. This is what you should be seeing inPhotos 3.0 on High Sierra or Photos 4.0 on Mojave.

It may depend on the country. Mpix is only available in the United States.

In Germany I can see only Mimeo there, when I try to convert an existing Calendar. And the Mimeo conversion is removing all custom date entries I added previously in Photos.

You could save your calendar as a PDF and upload the PDF to Mimeo to get the Calendar exactly as you prepared it. Just click the "PDF" button in the toolbar with your calendar project selected in the sidebar.
