Two basic steps (test your device after each attempt).

Force restart your iphone (depending on your model):

  • On an iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Reset network settings:

Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings...

When done restart your iphone.

That "forced restart" procedure is a little bit complicated. Now that I know your iphone model, let me try to better explain it.

  • Press (just touch and quickly release) the Volume Up button.
  • Then press (just touch and quickly release) the Volume Down button.
  • Now press and hold (keep pressed) the Side (Power) button for some seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • When it appears, release the Side (Power) button, wait for your iPhone 8+ to restart, then test it.
