Final Cut Pro X how to unselect range?

I've posted this question before - since they changed this website I can't access (or don't know how to access) my own content. So, I'll post the same question again. (Or, maybe I never posted this? Not sure).

Anyway, I'm using the I and O keys to select a range of a clip before dragging to the timeline. How do you unselect the range?
