MacBook Air 2018 Screen Glitch

I recently bought my new MacBook Air and realized that whenever my iPhone (7 plus) comes into physical contact with my computer screen, purple lines appear on the screen my MacBook. This glitch only last a fraction of a second but repeats itself as long as my phone touches it. I first thought that my screen was damaged and that the weight of my iPhone was the cause of this problem but I realized, by putting other objects similar in weight by the screen, that the weight wasn't the issue. Might there be some sort of signal coming from my phone that could be interfering with my computer? I have tried to have both items separated at all times but has proven itself difficult, especially when I am moving around with my computer and my phone in a bag. Should I be worried? What should I do?
