How to backup on iCloud
Trying to back on iCloud and they are saying I have no more space, which I don't understand

By the sounds of it you've maxed out your iCloud storage (the free account is limited to 5 GB).
On your iPhone, open Settings and then tap your name at the top, then iCloud, then Manage Storage. That will give you a look at how much space you're using in iCloud, and where its coming from.
