Any repair service available for older iPod Classics?

The links for iPod Classic are kind of buried through a few menus. Navigate through the support menus: Music>iPod>iPod Classic to see your support options.
What is the issue with the classic? As an obsolete device you may find service options are limited or prohibitively expensive.

The realloc count is fairly high, but there are 16,384 slots to play with. The max. temp. is clearly wrong, but probably result of rubbish being written into the CMOS during a crash. You can try the suggestion to reformat the drive and see if that will clear up the reallocations. You might find that it takes a few attempts to repopulate the device as any new damaged areas are discovered. The alternative it to look into third party options to supply and/or fit a replacement drive.

Thanks, I didn't think to go through Music first...anyway, I entered my Serial Number and was told my request couldn't be processed at this time; so I'll try back later....thank you for your help and follow-up - much appreciated!
It is full of songs (17,000 or so) and shows nothing and won't restore - error 1439 so I'm guessing hard drive...I Iove this device but I also have 2 others so it's just a back-up...I'm okay with replacement costs but I can live without this one as well...
Yes, went there first but no links for iPod classic and it doesn't show as an option for a service request...thanks anyway...
