Movie rentals disappear before the rental time has ended

I had 14 minutes remaining to start watching a rental movie. I started watching the movie, and after about 10 minutes, I had to leave for a while. Before leaving, I used my iPhone to snap a picture which showed 47 hours remaining to watch:

I returned a few hours later, and it has disappeared from my rental queue:

According to the rental terms:

This is the fourth time that this has happened to me. If I start to watch a rental anytime after 28 days, and go to resume watching the movie within the 47 hours that the Apple TV tells me I have remaining, but after the 30 days have ended, the movie disappears from the rental queue.

If I were to start watching a rental movie one minute before the 30 days is up, the maximum time to watch a rental as per the statement by Apple (see picture above) is 32 days minus 1 minute.

If the Apple statement said that I had 28 days to start watching the movie, then the movie would already have been removed . But it says that I have 30 days to start watching the rental.

Under California law, the last thing that the business tells you must be fulfilled, and AppleTV told me that I had 47 hours remaining.

Apple is cheating all iTunes movie rental customers out of nearly 2 days of prepaid rental time for any customer that starts watching a rental after 28 days.

I want Apple to either correct the rental statement to indicate 28 days, or correct the programming to ensure that one has the full 48 hours to view the rental.

This should be an absolute. No rental should ever end before 48 hours has elapsed once one has started viewing. In reality, the movie rental is over regardless of starting to watch it before the 30 days is up.

This is a user forum, you aren’t addressing Apple. Be aware that you have a total of 30 days to view it. So if you’re leaving it until the last 2 days it is not going to extend that to 32. As per the article it will be deleted after 30 days or 48 hours, whichever is sooner.
