2 MacBook 29W USB-C power adapters just stopped working. How is that possible?

It’s not my power cables, not the USB C Cables, but it’s definitely the two adapters. Not the MacBook either. I can use my 12 W adapter to charge MacBook. I can use brand new 30W adapter I had to buy and it works. But my two 29W USB-C power adapters simply will not work. The don’t get warm. They don’t charge my iPhone, my iPad or my MacBook.

In the past I’ve primarily used my adapters to charge my iPad Pro or my MacBook. On occasion I would use it to charge my Samsung phone at the time. That’s it. What in the **** happened to these adapters that they won’t work anymore?

I just discovered they weren’t working yesterday. I swear I’ve used either or both of them as recently as a week ago and they worked fine. What in the **** is going on here? I get one dying but two??? WT actual F is going on? It’s maddening.

Macbook (2015 or later)

Hello Deitiphobia,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to charge your MacBook as your USB-C power adapters are not working. To help with your situation, please follow the steps in this Apple resource on your situation, and then contact Apple or go to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider if you need further help.

If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac notebook

Contact Apple Support

Apple - Find Locations - Country Selector

Cheers!
