Apple Music not downloading songs

i’ve been struggling to download music since i updated to ios12.

i can’t do anything

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand you're unable to download content from Apple Music.


I recommend to take a look through the following article, specifically the section titled "You can't download, play, or access songs": Get help with iCloud Music Library


If you go through those steps and are still having trouble, some helpful information to know would be:

Do you receive any error messages, or does the download just seem to stall?

Does this affect all content in Apple Music, or just selected content?

Are you able to use other network-connected apps like Safari or Mail?

Thanks for the follow-up.


You mentioned you're on iOS 12; is that iOS 12.1.2 specifically? If not, I recommend updating: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.


Does it help if you Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?


Have you verified that you're signed in with your Apple ID under Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store?
