I have an iPhone SE and i have forgotten my phone password to get onto the phone. i have looked at what it says to do on the apple website, but it wont let me connect the phone to my laptop as i need to unlock the device to let it connect. i dont know how many times i have tried the passwod but im disbaled for an hour. i really dont know what to do send help asap

like when i try to connect the phone to the laptop using a USB, it vibrates and nothing happens because you know how it would charge, it does nothing. this is when the iphone is disabled but when its not disabled it comes up with a notification saying you arent allowed accsesories and you need to unlock the device to allow it to connect so idk what to do
I read that, but it says you have to connect the phone to a laptop, it won’t let me connect
What does 'won't let me' mean ?
Do you have another cable that you could try with, and/or another computer that you could use ?
