Antivirus for Mac

You do not need anti-virus on a Mac.

Keep you macOS up to date and it will be fine.

If you download apps, do it only directly from the developer website or from the Mac App Store.

FWIW, since 2009 I do not have any anti-virus on my Mac.

No Anti-Virus software or so-called “cleaning” apps are needed or recommended for Mac OS. They can conflict with Mac's own built-in security. At best they will slow your Mac by using unnecessary resources and at worst will bork your entire system.

No such product is required on your Mac.
