garageband two mics

I have a Focusrite input with two mics connected. In Garageband, I can get both mics to work, but one mic is in the left channel, and the other is in the right channel. I can't figure out how to get it so both mics are in both channels. How can I set this up for recording two people talking at the same time and have it sound the same in both output channels?

Hello Hangtime, I've tried setting this as you describe, but then I only hear one mic, the other no longer works.

you need to create two tracks, both set to mono, with one set to input 1 and the other set to input 2:

Hello Hangtime, I've tried setting this as you describe, but then I only hear one mic, the other no longer works. From the Focusrite mixer, there is only one usb connection into garageband, so I can't set both mics to mono, I have to set up an aggregate MIDI connection, therefore there is only one track in use.

So I'm still stuck on this problem. Any help is appreciated.
