How to use a Gift Card balance instead of credit card?

I want to purchase an app but I don't see the option of choosing the remaining balance of a gift card instead of the registered credit card in App Store. Is there any way of doing it? Thanks!

It's automatic, you can't specify how items are paid-for - it should use the balance on the account
