Here is a list of the Adonit Jot touch with Pixelpoint compatible apps.

The Pixelpoint supports pressure and palm rejection.

You WILL have to perform some pairing and setup parameters in each of the Adonit compatible apps.

You just DO NOT simply turn on Bluetooth on an an iDevice and turn on the Adonit stylus and start writing.

The Adonit st.ylus is NOT an Apple Pencil in this regard/respect.

You have to initially Bluetooth pair the Adonit, setup the hand/palm position and in many apps, set up the stylus screen pressure sensitivity for each and every compatible app!

Once you have, initially, done all of this, all Adonit compatible apps will remember these settings for future use!

Some Adonit users claimed their stylus doesn’t work, but it does work well IF you properly know how to set up the Adonit Pixelpoint.

Here’s my list of Adonit Jot Touch with pixelpoint compatible apps for the iPad 3.

All apps listed support pressure sensing and palm rejection.

Animation Desk

Amaziograph

ArtRage

AutoDesk SketchBook

Concepts

Interactive SketchBook

Inkist

ProCreate ( palm rejection improved using special, non-electrical conducting, lycra-based material drawing glove )

Pixelmator ( older iOS 9 version supported the Pixelpoint )

Tayasui Sketches/Sketches Pro

ZenBrush/Zen Brush 2

Compatible Adonit Pixel apps for Notes and Notes with drawing types of apps.

GoodNotes

Notability ( palm rejection noticeably improved using special, non-electrical conducting, lycra-based material drawing glove )

This stylus works with other non-compatible apps, too, but without any palm rejection and/or pressure features.

You can use this stylus with other apps but will not be able to lay your palm on the screen, unless you use special, non-electrical conducting, lycra-based material drawing glove that works by isolating your hand/palm and allow you to lay your hand/palm on the screen as you draw in these non-compatible Adonit stylus apps.

Something like this.

If interested, to make sure you get the latest installed stylus firmware, you must order one of these directly from the Adonit website.

I have still have an iPad 3.

If you are looking for a smart, Bluetooth stylus for an older iPad.

IF your iPad is an iPad 3, this stylus works with iOS 9 on an iPad 3 or iPad with either iOS 9 or iOS 10.

It’s the Adonit Jot Touch with Pixelpoint found here on Amazon.

Works good enough on iPad 3 or 4 with compatible Adonit apps.

Here is the Amazon link.

These are slightly used or new on Amazon and come in white or black and are much cheaper to obtain, now.

If your iPad is an iPad 2, then there are no longer any supported smart stylii for that iPad model.

You can ONLY use more precision, but still common, capacitive stylii with a clear disc end tip.

Many makers of these

OR

You can use so-called fine point “active” battery powered capacitive stylii from numerous makers on Amazon.

Instead or electrical impulses from your fingers, the small battery in these creates a small electrical impulse signal/field to simulate a touch with a finer stylus point on any touch screen device.

Adonit Dash 2 and 3 are such active, battery powered fine point stylii.

Wacom makes these, too!

These types of fine point, battery powered fine point capacitive stylii work with any tablet that uses a touch screen.
