How items are paid-for is automatic, you don't have to do anything - assuming you've already redeemed the iTunes card onto the iTunes account the purchase should automatically use it
If you do an in-app purchase then you should be able to, iTunes purchases should automatically use your account's balance before using the payment method on the account
