10.14.2 crash

Since I upgraded to macOS 10.14.2 a few hours ago, my Macbook Pro retina 15" Mid 2015 crash when sleeping. When I try to wake up my machine I realize that the machine is off. What can I do from there? I was not having crashed before this update.

Macbook (2015 or later)

So I did my investigation and I realiazed that all my extensions are not working with 10.14.2. So all these are not working and cause the problem I described prevously:

  • ClipMenu 0.4.3
  • QuickSilver 1.6.0
  • Spectacle 1.2
  • Stay 1.2.8

If I remove these extensions then it is working fine. I don't understand why this update is causing me so much problem. I definitly want to return to version 10.14.1. Is 10.14.2 a bad update for others or am I alone?

I think I found the problem. Based on EtreCheck:

"Plantage" means crashed.

I then found this https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/5887s9/photoanalysisd_macos_sierras_most_contentious_new/ and I used these two commands:

launchctl disable gui/$UID/com.apple.photoanalysisd
launchctl kill -TERM gui/$UID/com.apple.photoanalysisd

So far the issue is no longer present. 😀

  1. Oh, no problem, Cause isn't really showing, but I suspect niece or more if the User Login Items:

You could remove them or test in a new account...

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

I wouldn't think it's the same problem...

Shutdown cause -128 unknown Possibly linked to memory issue. If the issue is persistent, try replacing the RAM with known-good if your hardware has removable RAM.

Another test, boot in Safe Mode, holding SHIFT key at startup, if it doesn't;t crash in Safe Mode then auto loading 3rd party things are highly suspect.
