No date picker in Numbers for iPad!!! This is a productivity app for Business - really..

Numbers for the IPad

There is no drop-down date picker. This was confirmed with Apple support.

An astonishing deficiency for an app for work and productivity.

It appears you have to insert today’s date and then adjust it using the keypad!

Good heavens !!!!!!!! The programmer should be fired....

No you don't!

The screenshot below is from Numbers for iPhone, but the result would be the same on the iPad.

Once you set the cell's format to date and time, you may type in any date you wish to start - it need not be "today". And, as shown in the keyboard below the cell, you may then augment it.

I can see both perspectives and see why they chose to do just the keyboard entry method, and I also agree that a date picker would be a nice feature to request (hint hint, the more people that follow the link and ask for it, the more likely it is to get implemented). IF they do it right.

Date pickers on most websites frustrate me. Especially when i need to look at a date months in the future, and they don't allow you to click the month or year to change, you have to click the next month button... over and over... and over.
