Can't import .mov file in FCPx

Hello,

I'm running into an error message on fcpx when I try to import a .mov file.

"None of the selected files or folders can be imported. Change the selection and try again."

The video in question is a slideshow created in power point, saved as an .mov file.

It plays fine in QT.

I've tried converting it in the finder window via the Right Click>Encode Selected Video Files option, to 480p, 1080p, and Apple ProRes with no solution. Same error message pops up.

It's not actually a movie. It's a slideshow, hence the very low frame rate. I guess there's no way to export from PowerPoint as a movie with timing. I don't know enough about it, but perhaps Keynote can do it. You might ask on that forum if there's a way to generate video from these presentation files, short of exporting the frames and reanimating in FCP.
