Can Airpods be synched to two iPhones at the same time?
I have a work and personal iPhone. I can do this with a Plantronics bluetooth headset. Curious if this can be done with the AirPods.

I'm not sure what you mean by syncing. It's not a term that means anything with BT. You can pair (the initial connection) them to both devices. However, you can only be connected (in use by) to one device at a time.

Your right, I did mean pairing. I did manage to pair the AirPods to both iPhones. Too bad the AirPods cannot be connected simultaneously like a Plantronics or Jabra headset. I do like the sound quality. Thanks everyone for your assistance. Much appreciated.
Not all BT headsets have that feature. You can let Apple know you'd like them to consider it here:
Alternatively, you could always try to sync them with the two phones and see what happens. Let us know!
Thanks for the tip but it didn't work. I had turned off the bluetooth on the phone that was synched with the AirPods and tried to synch the other phone but it doesn't work. The AirPods don't even show up on available bluetooth devices. Disappointed since the local Apple store said it can be done. Could be user error on my part but I doubt it.
You should have been able to pair your AirPods with the second phone when you turned off bt on the first.
