Can I view a rented movie in airplane mode
Planning on flying out want to rent a movie. Is the movie downloaded to my iPad to view or is it streamed to my device requiring wifi

You can either download it to your iPad, or it can be streamed. As you may not have wifi on the flight, I would download it to your iPad.
