.NEF camera raw files not readable on my mac
Just got the Nikon Z7 camera and the NEF files are not readable on my mac. I am running macOS Sierra (10.12.6). Is there a way to get the mac to read these files?

If this Nikon is a new model then no, Apple only updates its RAW database on its most recent OS, which is Mojave.
You would need to upgrade your Macs OS, if it is capable of running Mojave
An alternative programme you can use is Adobes DNG converter, it is free.

Of course your Nikon camera should have come with its own software which can read the RAW files.
