iTunes only "recognizes" devices from Apple. However, you can add songs to most 3rd party MP3 players by simply connecting the player, and then dragging and dropping from iTunes.


Check the audio format of the files you are planning to copy in. Most MP3 players can play AAC or MP3 format, but some, such as old vintage Sansa players, literally need MP3s. If you need to convert any formats, see here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204310


Also, note that non-Apple MP3 players cannot play Apple Music tracks.
