"Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler" upon new install of High Sierra

Very strange.... had that problem before. But have a brand new MacbookPro, and upon reinstallation of HighSierra with a dump user, I have a "Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler" and my MacbookPro wakes up at night. What is this?! Any idea? I looked around for that already before, but this message was linked sometimes to a unfinished print job. Surely not my problem....

Thanks for any hints!

See the green checkmark here...

If you think that power consumption is more than it should be then you may want to check whether your Bluetooth devices can wake your Mac (Apple menu > System Preferences, > Bluetooth > Advanced and ensure that the Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer is NOT selected/on)

Yeah, its hidden & I think we found the cause, 2 ways to go...

Find Any File...

Hold Option or alt key when selecting Find to Find All.

Search for Name contains...

com.wondershare.TunesGoHelper

Likely in Launch something.

Or...

Ahh, ok....

30 Minutes after Sleep, it says:

Jan 2 20:34:08 Stefans-MBP15 syslogd[51]: ASL Sender Statistics

Jan 2 20:34:11 Stefans-MBP15 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.wondershare.TunesGoHelper[8137]): Service could not initialize: 17G2208: xpcproxy + 11476 [1524][576068A2-9BF7-37AC-8984-205252AD3905]: 0xd

Not sure what the "ASL Sender Statistics" is... Google didn't help so much.

Strangely enough, I don't find com.wondershare.TunesGoHelper. True, I had installed quite a while ago some stuff from Wondershare. But that isn't on the machine anymore. Guess this is somewhere hidden in the code of a running service...

Any way to figure that out? Or must I recreate myself as a user from scratch? Only copying some of the ordinary folders such as Pictures, Movies, but not the Library?

Thanks a lot for the link provided. Really useful information.

However, although I deactivated the bluetooth altogether and unplugged all USB and other cables - only LAN is active - the computer wakes up after some time.... Grrrrr... Is there any system log file which can indicate which action is being performed which could be the reason for the wakeup?

Thanks! I did finally find the file in the LaunchDeamons or LaunchAgents folder. But, unfortunately, that wasn't the issue... ;-)

It still wakes up a couple of times in the night, as one can see in the log file. And I don't see a common thread in those wakeups besides the "ASL Sender Statistics", which I have not find anything about...
