IPad could not be restored - error 3194

Having trouble restoring my iPad, I get an error “3194”. Can anyone help? What I am trying to do is erase everything and reset back to factory settings. Thank you and Happy Nee Year!

Just to be sure I understand you have your iPad connected to your computer's iTunes app and you attempted to start the restore process from the Summary tab ... correct? ... or that it doesn't even appear in the iTunes source list? You may just need to be sure that your Mac is running the latest version of iTunes.
