i have seen that page and I don’t see anything on it about what it costs. PayPal and Stripe charge 2.9% + a transaction fee. I was going to suggest that my client offer Apple Pay as an option, but if I need to know a secret password or have a friend at Apple just to get that information, I can’t seriously recommend it.
Why wouldnt Apple want people to know what their charges are? Is it free? If so, that would be a good thing to know.
Thanks for replying, but I couldn’t find it on the page you linked to. Maybe I missed it, and if so, please show me the paragraph.

No, I saw that part, but it says "additional fees," and not just "fees." The word "additional" says to me that there are some fees, but nothing extra added to those fees.
But what you're saying is that Apple Pay is 100% free to the merchant? I'd love to hear that from a merchant who uses it who can verify that. Seems unlikely to setup an entire infrastructure that makes absolutely no money.
Good morning Amber Lunch,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand you have some questions about how Apple Pay works in your business. The resource below will provide you with some preliminary information, and contact information if you have more questions.
Take care.
Apple Pay uses the customer's credit card there are no additional fees beyond what the credit card issuers already charge those merchants for accepting the cards.
Apple charges nothing on top of that.
Accepting Apple Pay is no different than what a merchant already does and pays for by accepting particular types of credit cards.
You missed this part:
Are there additional fees to accept Apple Pay?
No. Apple doesn't charge any additional fees.
Great news then. Next time I hear someone complain about paypal fees, I'll tell them that Apple Pay is free.
Thanks
Excellent!
