Battery drain on Apple Watch 4 during sleep monitoring

Is anyone losing half their battery power during sleep, and what has fixed it? I'm using the pillow app, and on the series 2 it wasn't a problem. I had the watch checked out by Apple tech support, and the diagnostics came back as being fine.

Have you done a hard reboot?

or

It may be some app you have given background app refresh permissions to.

or

Have you tried uninstalling the app and doing a hard reboot and then sleeping a night or 2 like that to see if you still have a drain or not?

If it is not draining then reinstall the app and try that and see if it happens again, as it could be the app.

I tried sleeping with my watch without using the pillow app and the battery was at 92% in the morning, as compared to approximately 50%. I'd previously tried removing and disabling other permissions/settings with no effect. I'm convinced it's related to the Pillow app. I just uninstalled/reinstalled it on the watch and will see how it does tonight.

I just found this:

Pillow v.3.7 has an optional feature that can wake you up using haptic feedback (vibrations) on the Apple Watch. To achieve that, Pillow uses a special background mode that can consume a significant amount of battery. If you disable that feature then Pillow on the Apple Watch will consume 0% of battery. To do that: Open Pillow on the Apple Watch > Scroll to the bottom > Tap on “Settings“ > De-select ‘Apple Watch Haptics’.

Will report on its effectiveness.
