iBook Bluetooth Not Connecting

iBook G4
Machine Model: PowerBook6,7
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.2)
CPU Speed: 1.33 GHz
Memory: 512 MB

My cell phone recognizes the iBook, but the iBook won't recognize the cell phone (LG, model unkown). After setting the phone's discovery mode to on pressing "Browse device" on the iBook, the iBook generates a message that reads: "Device does not have the necessary services." I had no problems with sharing files from my Motorola KRAZOR, which has been defunct for quite some time. Help.

iBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Mergz, Welcome to the discussion area!

For Bluetooth devices there are individual profiles that the manufacturer can choose to support or not. For example some cell phones only support Bluetooth connections for headphones. Some cell phones only support sending photos but will not allow other devices to browse the cell phone.

You will need to check the manufacturer and service provider to see which profiles they have enabled on that handset.
