how can I save music as mp3 on my computer?

Export to where.? Apple Music can’t be exported or copied.

I would like to take music that I have loaded into iTunes and transfer them to USB so I can use the USB in my car. How do I do this?

You can’t copy Apple Music to an external drive.

In Macintosh HD/users/(your account)/music/iTunes/iTunes media/music then mp3 files should be there under their respective artist and album folders. Hope this helps
