Mac Pro
Your title says you have a G5 but your equipment line says Mac Pro---similar externallu but two very different models inside. Can you clarify? The G5s and the original Mac Pros are quite similar in appearance:
but the easy identifier is the number of optical drive doors.
It's important we know which one because Apple changed from PowerPC to Intel processors between the two models and troubleshooting is different between them. If we assume you have a G5 and your really have a MacPro, the advice given could be detrimental to your computer.
