Safari no longer predicts site names, shows names n tabs and "Quit Safari" is grayed out

Up until today when I would begin to type in one of my favorite websites Safari would predict the site I was typing. It no longer does this. Nor can I quit Safari with the command "Q" and the "Quit Safari" is grayed out. Also, when I have several tabs open the site names are no longer displayed in the tab.

What happened? I didn't change anything.

Thanks!
