My user>library folder is hidden. I can locate it holding option and the GO menu. I can't unhide it for some reason. I've tried the terminal command that several people have posted but it does not work. Suggestions?
iMac Line (2012 and Later)
Ok open a new Finder window, then select your home folder icon in the sidebar. Click on View in the menubar and then click on Show View Options, from the resulting panel that pops up click the box Show Library Folder.
The folder was deliberately hidden, as it was all to often accessed incautiously and its contents corrupted or deleted.
In recent releases, Command-shift-period will expose all hidden files, including the ~/Library folder.
