Two green line on iPhone X screen

iPhone X just after 13 months. Two green lines on the screen, I did not drop or do anything with the phone.


Apple store asked me to pay $279 to fix a defect which is not caused by me, perhaps my fault is buying iPhone X..


Thinking keep the phone like that and switch to Samsung.

I had an issue with an Apple device out of warranty recently. An Apple Store Genius could only replace the item at a discount. He did suggest that a call to Apple support might yield a different result than he could authorize. I called Apple and eventually had it replaced at no cost. There is no guarantee that you will meet with the same level of success, but it is worth a try.
