Approve iPad

I cant seem to approve my iPad from my phone when doing an update

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi

You can also update your iPad using iTunes on a Windows or Mac computer by connecting your iPad to your computer, open iTunes ( If you don't have iTunes you can download it at http://itunes.com/download), click on the iPad icon in the toolbar.

Then click Update

I went to install the update for my iPad. Typed in the password for Apple ID; then the passcode. It asked to approve the iPad from another device. I got the verification code from y iPhone but it wouldn’t take. It just goes into a continuous “loop” (the circle). Is there a way to type in the verification code that I’m missing? I’ve never had this problem before but then again, this is the first time I’ve had a 2 factor authentication. Thanks!

Press "Didn't Get A Code?" then there should be an option to send a code to your phone number via SMS.
