delete photos library and keep iphoto library

If I migrate a library to "Photos" then delete the "photos" library (because it didn't work right or something) will i be deleteing my photos or are they still in the "iPhoto" library?

They'll still be in the iPhoto library.

When you migrate the iPhoto Library nothing will change but the filename extension. Photos will change the extension of the iPhoto Library from .photolibrary to .migratedphotolibrary.

Rename your iPhoto Library back from "iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary" to "iPhoto Library.photolibrary". Then you can open it again in iPhoto.
