Why is my ‘Move’ ring not working?

I got the Apple Watch Series 4 a couple of days ago and have set it all up against my iPhone 8. Everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed at the end of the day that the ‘move’ ring on the activity functionality is showing as 0. This cannot be reflected accurately. I went for a 40 minute run and have done lots of other walking around (where my heart rate was much, much lower) so I don’t understand how it can be at 0 out of 500. The stand and the exercise rings are both working. I have tried to look around online and have done some of the suggestions (I.e. making sure that my stats are correct in the Health app on my watch and making sure I don’t have any of the exercise apps running currently). Does anyone know what the problem might be or what i’m doing wrong?

I did read this just before I posted my message. I get that my exercise ring would possibly be more than the move ring (the exercise ring is showing at about 180%) but otherwise it is saying i’ve done 0 movement other than the exercise, which just isn’t true. I’ve been walking around today, doing some housework etc. I would have thought that it would have picked up something?
