Audio Not Working On QuickTime Player For iPhone Recording

I was having trouble getting audio to work. I looked several places and no one seemed to understand what was wrong or how to fix it. For this case "SoundFlower" or any external software is not necessary. What fixed the problem was turning the notification switch on side of my phone to on. If anyone else is having trouble getting audio on QuickTime from their phone, I hope this helped.
