MacBook Pro trackpad acting funny
I've read a few questions regarding trackpad behavior that were too old and wouldn't allow me to answer. So I've created a new post.
This happened to my MBP twice now.
The first time it was related to my hard drive beginning to feel damage..I tend to move my Laptop around too much while it's in use...WHICH IS A NO NO for those who haven't learned the hard way...
The second time it was water/liquid damage that seeped into the trackpad area. I did spill coffee on my keyboard about a month prior to it behaving odd...and thought because everything worked fine the day of the spill and subsequent days that my MBP was fine.
I guess damage can manifest afterwards...because all of a sudden it was acting like I was using the trackpad ( when I wasn't) , zooming in and out, selecting items on its own and generally jamming everything up by opening programs as well!
I assumed it was my hard drive again...took it to get upgraded to an SSD drive and the repair tech called informing me that my HD was fine...it was the liquid damage on my trackpad.
Now it works perfectly!
Thought I would mention. I've read many other tips, but hadn't come across this one.
That all folks!
