LOGIC PRO EXSPRESS 9 capslock key board not working

i have the an old version of logic express 9 and my caps lock key board is not playing noters for me to record it says on the button no in no out I've had a look in setting and can not see a problem HELP??

Logic isn't registering the note G# 3 I recently got a keyboard. It is a Casio vz1 and recently the g# 3 key has stopped working in Logic. It had always for the few months I've had it. I know it is not a dead key because it works on Garageband and I experienced the same problem on my Novation Launchkey 25 Mk1. The note works sometimes but whenever it does, it plays the not with a weird sustain effect which is really annoying on some synthesizers because it causes the sound to hold forever. Could there just be something off in my settings? Please let me know if you have experienced this and have solved it.
