MacBook Air stuck at 0%

My MacBook Air is stuck at 0%. Looked at other post and it said to check under your battery service information. The problem is my battery says it’s normal but not charging. Here’s what is listed under battery info

charge info:

Charge remaining 0

fully charged no

charging no(though it is plugged in to the wall)

Health info:

cycle count 231

condition normal

amperage 0

voltage 7120

AC charger info:

connected yes

charging no

Does this just mean I need a new charger? Im not sure where to go from here?

Hey there!

Sounds like an issue with the System Management Controller (SMC). Resetting the SMC or PRAM may help to fix the issue with your MacBook Air. Resetting the SMC and/or PRAM shouldn't cause any data loss.

See here for info on resetting your SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support.

If that doesn't work, try resetting the PRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Alrighty, so I was able to reset my SMC with no problems but it didn’t solve the original problem and when I tried to reset my PRAM my computer glitched and started playing the “you can’t do that” noise but over and over, spastically so I tried again but this time nothing happened. Tried to reset at multiple points in the process cause I thought maybe I’m just being stupid but nothing worked. All the battery information is still the same as it was the other night.

Yes when I go to system preferences under power it shows my battery is good and my charger is connected but not charging. So all I need is a new charger?
