Pages Ruler?

Pages used to have a sidebar ruler, but now it's only on the top bar. What's the deal with that??

I accidentally pulled markup ruler below the menu, how do I get it back? I was editing a photo in markup and accidentally pulled the ruler option below the menu on the bottom. When I tap the ruler it goes away and comes back, but there is too little for me to grab to bring back up. I have reset the markup option several times with different pictures to no avail, they all place the ruler below the menu.

Apple Pages V 10 - showing rulers by default In Apple Pages 10, I cannot find a way to show Rulers by default in a new document - there appears to be no option to do so in Preferences. (Comment: the available preference options overall seem to me to be very limited.) I set up a document showing rulers and saved it as a template, chose that template in Preferences as the default page layout, but when I created a new document from that template the rulers were absent. Is there a way to show rulers by default?

Go to Pages > Preferences & click Rulers then check Enable vertical ruler
