23.98 clip on 23.98 timeline not playing back smoothly.

I have a clip from a client. Frame rate is clearly 23.98 and playback is smooth in QuickTime, vlc, preview etc..

Now when I add it to a 23.98 timeline in FCPX every second frame seams to be missing. Only getting 12 frames of movement. It isn't interlaced as well.

I also tried exporting the file thinking it might just be the timeline preview but the missing frames carry to the export.

Attached the metadata of the clip if ever I am missing something.

Anyone know what it could be?

Yes it plays fine inside the browser and anywhere else. Really only stutters when in FCPX. I also tried Davinci Resolve and I am having the same problem.

Here are the specs from MediaInfo. Everything seems fine frame rate wise.

It should work though the length might be a problem depending on the system resources and the drive. The AVC Coding display is unusual. Really need complete media specs from. app like MediaInfo to trouble shoot. Obviously the frame rate is not a problem. I'm take it the file doesn't have a problem playing back in the browser, is that right? Only in the project?
