Independent Trackpad / Mouse Scroll Direction Settings

I want to set independent scroll direction settings for Trackpad and mouse. In System Preferences, when the 'Scroll direction: Natural' setting is toggled for either Trackpad or mouse, the setting is also toggled for the other.

Can I stop this happening so that I have this selection checked for my Trackpad and unchecked for my mouse?|

How can I set the scroll direction for mouse and trackpad independently of each other? I want my Macbook's trackpad to scroll inversely from my fingers' movement (what MacOS calls "natural") but also have my mouse wheel to scroll in the same direction as my fingers' scrolling direction. At the moment I can only make it work for one of them, because this setting seems to be shared across both devices, so it's always a hassle no matter what I choose. Am I missing something?

Scroll direction problem when switching trackpad between mouse I have a problem recently. I have to turn on the "scroll direction: natural" option on the trackpad because my brain cells are happy to use it this way. However, when I connect a mouse, the scroll is reversed and I have to go into the settings again and deactivate the "scroll direction: natural" option. The problem is that I'm using both and I'm using a hub. Sometimes I have to remove the hub and switch to the trackpad. There has to be a way to automate this. My Computer 2019 Mac Pro 16"
