What is this MRTConfigData

It is showing up in my Etracheck report. What is it and can it be deleted? Never saw this before its at the bottom in software section. How to delete them? Also here is screen shot from EasyFind as well, Is there a way to delete them.

Not recommended to be poking around in System files.


Apple’s Malware Removal Tool (MRT) an app which often complements XProtect’s signature-based screening, and can automatically remove all traces of many different species of malware.


if you see MRTConfigData in the Installations list under Software in System Report, your Mac is protected.
