Why do phone calls show up on both of our phones?

We have two iPhones sharing a Apple ID when I look at the Recents phone call it shows the activity on both phones.
How do I fix this issue?
Stop sharing an ID. You each need your own.
So How do we share pictures if we don't have the same ID?
